Kyra M. Sedgwick (born Kyra Minturn) is a famous American actor and TV host. She is well-known all over the globe, but is most famously in America because of her leading role in the TV series 'The Closer'. Sedgwick had a passion for art, acting as well as Broadway since she was only 12 years old. She was first introduced to Broadway by her mother, she was interested in the field. Sedgwick's debut acting gig was in a television show named 'Another World. It was when she was just aged 16. While she started out with tiny-time television roles but it was the idea of becoming an actress who attracted her. Her name was spotted at the top of the list for the first-time with her supporting role in the film 'Born on the Fourth of July', in which she appeared in the film with Tom Cruise. Sedgwick kept getting parts as she became an instant hit with this film. There were other films like : Singles, Heart and Souls and Phenomenon. When she was just 22 year old, she was married the actor Kevin Bacon after working in the television series Lemon Sky. Sedgwick left a special mark on American television with her effortless performance in the show "The Closer," the show that had seven seasons of running and fetched her prestigious awards like Golden Globe and Emmy.
